The event was supported by prominent institutions such as: Guidestar India, Oxfam, The National Trust, The Economic Times, FICCI and many other prominent institutions and media in the CSR space. 

 

The event gave us a chance to network and make visible out work to more than 200 NGOs and corporates both in India and abroad.

 

Our stall and the activities we do especially in the community and not for profit venture was received well by both the audiences and the organisers. In the process we were able to generate the following:

 

1.       Maximum  exposure and visibility to the kind of work that Sankara does especially in the community outreach space with due emphasis on world calls clinical care, education, training, research  and capacity building

2.       Many visitors, NGOs and organisations, impressed by our work have expressed their desire at collaboration and partnership (especially organisations working in the space of disability, health, human rights and livelihood)

3.       Many students expressed keenness to gather more information about the College of Optometry and other educational opportunities at Sankara. Quite a few aspiring developmental professional expressed their keenness to join in as volunteers and interns to support our work

4.       Some organisations and their personnel also expressed desire to contribute to our cause online as a result we referred them to our website from where they can make online donation
